Hi, I’m Lisa

I started my career in Psychology and Child Development, earning a B.A. from Texas A&M and a Master’s in Child Development from Tufts.  After several years of doing a variety of work including educational testing at Children’s Hospital Boston, research at Harvard, and Early Intervention, I realized I continued to have many unanswered questions. So, I returned to graduate school, obtaining a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Cincinnati in 2005.  Here I discovered my true passion for speech and language.  I apply my knowledge and experience to both monolingual and Spanish-English bilingual students and am licensed in Illinois, California, Washington and Florida. I also have my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.

I have worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist since 2005, starting out in brick and mortar schools. I transitioned to teletherapy exclusively for the past 6 years. The speech therapy I offer online is unique in that it does not rely on bare-bones videoconferencing sites like Zoom or Skype, but rather the proprietary online platform created by Presence, a California-based teletherapy company. With this platform speech and language therapy is elevated to state of the art interactivity and is HIPAA compliant. Children learn effectively because they are engaged and having fun.

Let me help your child reach their fullest potential.
